19th, 2005:
In a meeting that took place between Sagesse Administration and football coach Lula
Paiva, it was commonly agreed that both parties will terminate Paiva’s contract amicably following Paiva’s health dramatic deterioration in the last month and its impact on the team results.
During the last month, Paiva was systematically losing weight and suffering health problems that turned out to be a serious diabetes crisis that required an emergency hospitalization about a week ago in St-George hospital in
Ashrafieh.
Sagesse president and management wished Paiva a prompt recovery and thanked him for all the effort made and invested in the team throughout the notorious dramatic circumstances that affected the team’s preparation phase.
Paiva –who got all his contract’s terms from the Club- will undergo a final hospital check-up on January 26th after which he will permanently leave to Brazil provided his doctor gives him the OK.
The football team carries on its training under the supervision of the present technical staff with Wissam Khalil as head coach assisted by Hassan
Ayoub, supported by more implication on the ground by the team manager Emile
Rustom.
